indie Semiconductor FFO GmbH – based in Frankfurt (Oder) – has been developing standardized chip products and customer-specific solutions for a wide range of radar market segments since 2006. In 2014, the first in-house product, a 24 GHz radar front end, went into production. Since then, Silicon Radar has evolved from a service provider to a product provider in the MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) market.
Company and Knowledge
The international team of indie Semiconductor FFO GmbH has been growing continuously. Meanwhile, a highly qualified team, partly doctoral, which combines years of chip design experience with profound system know-how of modern radar algorithms has been formed. Silicon Radar’s focus is the design and development of 24 GHz, 60 GHz and 120 GHz and 140GHz high frequency circuits for radar, sensor and wireless communications, manufactured in the SiGe BiCMOS technologies of the IHP / Frankfurt (Oder). Our demanding system-on-chip solutions, which combine analogue and digital circuit components (mixed signal), are on the highest technological level and at the same time economically viable. Our ASIC solutions comprise MMICs featuring frequencies up to 300 GHz in various fields of application.

Research
indie Semiconductor FFO GmbH can also look back on a whole series of successfully completed research and development projects – both among German and European carriers. Our strategy here is to ensure the market relevance of in-house developments through cooperation with leading partners in the sectors addressed. In addition, these cooperations also provide opportunities for access to innovative technologies that are difficult for SMEs to access in other contexts.
